Wayburn W. Terherst

WAYBURN W. TERHERST, 82, of Omaha, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.

The son of William "Will" and Tulia (Underwood) Terherst, he was born Nov. 26, 1925 in Denver, Ark.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army, having served in Germany and Korea. He also was a sandblaster, working on Beaver Dam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Wayburn's parents preceded him in death, along with his brothers, Norman, Carl, and Glenford Terherst.

Survivors include his son, Tommy Terherst and his wife, Annie, of Merriam Woods, Mo.; his daughter, Carolyn "Susie" Terherst of Green Forest; sisters Bamie Jones of Harrison and Bonnie Asbury and husband Rev. Kenny Asbury of Green Forest; and his grandchildren, Trista, Stefany, Nicole and Audry Terherst and Kyler Johnson.

Funeral services were to be held on Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Kenny Robinette officiating. Cremation was to follow.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House or to Carroll County Hospice.
