Mr. Rasmussen graduated from Central High School, University of Wisconsin at River Falls and Michigan State. Doc was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII and was a veterinarian for many years. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and past member of the Lions Club and School Board of Kulm, N.Dak. Doc loved racing pigeons and was a member of the Fredericksburg Homing Pigeons Club. He was also a member of St. Tomas Lutheran Church, Bealeton, Va. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking in his spare time.
He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Covell of Leonard, N.Dak., Barbara Cross of Warrenton, Va., and Donna Nienow of Waconia, Minn.; two sisters, Margaret Readel of Oakdale, Minn., and Elizabeth Fleming of Pueblo West, Colo.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Cecel Victoria Rasmussen, and his parents.
The family received friends on Thursday, Jan. 3, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, Va. where funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2008. Graveside services were to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Kennett Haydon officiating. Interment was to follow under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
