RICHARD WALKER, a resident of Green Forest, was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Berryville, a son of Garland and Bonnie (Deweese) Walker. He died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at his home in Green Forest, at the age of 69.

Richard enjoyed being with his family and grandsons. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the guitar.

On June 24, 1961, Richard was united in marriage with Kay Todd, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Bonnie Walker of Berryville; one daughter, Sandra and husband Roger Nance of Berryville; one son, Ricky Walker and wife Anessa of Green Forest; two brothers, Roy and Carroll Walker, both of Green Forest; one sister, Lavonna Johnson of Pineville, Mo.; four grandsons, Ryan and Rusty Nance of Berryville and Ramsey and Riley Walker of Green Forest; and a host of friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his father and one infant sister.

Funeral services were held on Dec. 31, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Green Forest with Brother Marvin Emmons officiating. Interment followed in the Farmer Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
