BERRYVILLE -- The Berryville Bobcat basketball team took its first loss of the season last Friday night when Pea Ridge's Trevathan fired in five 3-point shots on the way to 28 points and a 64-53 Blackhawk victory.

Berryville (8-1) led 30-20 at the half, but trailed by one, 39-40, at the end of the third quarter.

"We played good the first half and the first of the third quarter,"?Coach Brent Compton said, "then things fell apart. We only had nine turnovers the entire game, but they seemed to come at the wrong time.

"We were aggressive early, then stopped attacking and got in foul trouble. We shot 36 percent on field goals. It was a good road test with conference play coming up."
