In 1979 he opened David Davis Auto Sales on the Harrison bypass and in 1984 he became the owner of the Chevrolet and Pontiac dealership located on the square in Berryville. In 1986, a new dealership was built on the eastern edge of Berryville. David fulfilled his dream of owning and operating David Davis Chevrolet-Pontiac, Inc., where he worked until his passing.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed riding horses and working on the farm. He was dedicated to his family and he especially enjoyed spending time with them at the family's hunting camp. Nothing brought him greater joy than his five grandchildren. He cherished every moment they spent together and they will deeply miss him.
