Henry Thomas Tom High
HENRY THOMAS TOM HIGH of Terrell, Texas, died Nov. 8, 2007, in Dallas, Texas.
He was born on June 20. 1948, in Berryville to Leo Paul and Delphia Meadows High. Tom graduated from Berryville High School and received his MBA from the University of North Texas.
Tom retired from Raytheon in Garland, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Terrell Lions Club and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Terrell, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, a member of the Monday Night Men s Group and many other committees and programs.
Tom was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Linda High of Terrell; son Chris High and his wife Elise of Dallas; daughter Kim Calvery and her husband James of Brenham, Texas; grandson Christopher Calvery; mother, Delphia Smith of Berryville; sisters Judy Salgado of Anaheim, Calif. and Janice High of Orange, Calif; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Services were to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie McCoulskey and Rev. John Lowrie officating. Interment was to follow at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.
