Week of Oct. 22

Oct. 22

9:30 a.m. - Police were dispatched to the old courthouse on the square to investigate a report of skateboarders behind the building. They were gone when police arrived five minutes later.

1:10 p.m. - Police checked on a couple at the intersection of Huntsville and West Madison streets and found everything okay, they were getting directions.

3:18 p.m. - Police warned a Freeman Street resident about their unsightly conditions, including tires and debris that constituted a mess and needed cleaning up.

5:52 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Nationwide Insurance where a vehicle had been abandoned. Police said the property owner could have the vehicle towed.

Oct. 23

5:50 a.m. - Police initiated a traffic stop for a fictitious vehicle license, issued a citation, and arrested the motorist on a Bentonville warrant.

9:40 a.m. - Police provided a VIN verification.

3:03 p.m. - Police directed traffic for school buses.

3:40 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the White Oak Station to file a report on a gas drive off.

4:42 p.m. - Police assisted a motorist with a stalled vehicle on the town square.

6:40 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Locust Heights to investigate a report of a possible disturbance. Information was gathered.

Oct. 24

12:23 a.m. - Police found an open gate at a construction business, checked and secured the premises.

7:05 a.m. - Police spoke with a motorist who claimed their mirror was hit by the hand of a hitchhiker, and they wanted the incident documented.

8:08 a.m. - Police provided a VIN verification.

10:23 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a location behind the old courthouse where skateboarders were reported skating at night. An extra patrol memo was distributed to officers.

3:20 p.m. - Police were dispatched to LaBarge to investigate a 911 hang-up call. Police checked, all was okay.

6:30 p.m. - Police spoke with a subject about threats and referred the person to another agency since the reported crime occurred outside of city jurisdiction.

Oct. 25

6:22 a.m. - Police were dispatched to Price Cutter to investigate an alarm call. All was okay.

6:42 a.m. - Police arrested a male adult on a county warrant.

9:15 a.m. - Police were dispatched to an auto sales lot to investigate the theft of a pickup. The pickup was recovered and the suspect arrested.

10:09 p.m. - Police contacted a subject who was losing trash from the bed of a pickup, and had the person go back and pick it up.

11:08 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Hwy. 62 Spur apartment to file a report regarding a theft of property complaint.

11:34 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Freeman Avenue address to investigate a theft of property complaint.

Oct. 26

12:54 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Hammons address to investigate an intoxicated subject complaint. One person was arrested for public intoxication.

10:15 a.m. - Police were dispatched to the Sunrise Motel to investigate a disturbance call. Police reported all was quiet, there was nothing physical, and both parties were present.

10:43 p.m. - Police checked an occupied vehicle parked in the back at A.L.Carter Field and suggested the subjects move along.

Oct. 27

12:30 p.m. - Police went to the Boone County Jail to pick up a vehicle theft suspect.

8:44 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Craig Street address in regards to a child having problems with a schoolmate at school.

10:42 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Brashears to investigate a report of a possible fight. No one was around.

10:47 p.m. - Police located a juvenile and a vehicle that was taken without permission. The juvenile was transported to the detention center, according to a probation officer's orders.

Oct. 28

2:39 p.m. - Police came across eight skateboarders at Bobcat Minimart and sent them to the skateboard park.

8:18 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart to investigate a disturbance.
