CARROLL COUNTY -- The annual battle for football bragging rights here will begin on Thursday with the Junior Tigers and Bobcats playing at Green Forest. Seventh grade action begins at 5:30, with the junior high teams teeing it up at 7 p.m.

On Friday the Tiger and Bobcat senior high teams will kick off at 7 p.m. at Berryville's Bobcat Stadium.

Coaches Quotes

Bobcat head coach Bobby Bishop said, "Green Forest has an awful good football team. They've got a bunch of big, strong kids and a stable of offensive backs.

"They play a lot of kids and will be fresher than us. Bill (Gotto) does a terrific job over there. This is a game our kids will always remember, but to the coaches it's just another game."

Coach Gotto said, "We've seen them on film. They're playing well, playing hard. The pads will be flying. It should be a lot of fun for both schools and teams. We'll just try to control what we can."

Last Week

Berryville 15-13 over Pea Ridge; Green Forest 28-7 over Yellville-Summit.
