DENNIS LEE WHITAKER, III, of Crane, Mo., was born June 7, 2006, in Berryville, a son of Dennis Lee Whitaker, Jr., and Cindy Jo (Woodworth) Whitaker. He died Aug. 12, 2007, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 1 year and 2 months.

He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Cindy Whitaker of Crane, Mo; one half-sister, Katen Lee Kristine Whitaker of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; his maternal grandmother, Brenda Woodworth of Green Forest; his paternal grandparents, Mary Bunch Bollinger of Jenkins, Mo. and Dennis Whitaker, Sr. of Green Forest; two great-grandmothers, four aunts, two uncles, several other loving family members and friends, and his special family of nurses and doctors at St. John's Hospital of Springfield, Mo.

Funeral services were to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Nelson's Green Forest Chapel with Rev. David Maybee officiating. Interment was to follow at Yocum Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
