ANN BURK, a resident of Holiday Island, was born July 24, 1953, a daughter of Bill and Valetta (Pruett) Matthews. She died Thursday, July 26, 2007, in Holiday Island, at the age of 54.

Mrs. Burk was a legal secretary. She was a member of the Holiday Island Baptist Church.

On June 20, 2001, she was united in marriage with Jerritt Burk, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two sons, Reid Case of New Orleans, La., and Will Case of Holiday Island; one daughter, Lee Case of New Orleans; her mother, Valetta Matthews of Holiday Island; two brothers, Bunny Matthews and his wife Debbie of Abita Springs, La., and Bobby Matthews and wife, Suzie of New Orleans; four nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and one infant daughter, Renee.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the Holiday Island Baptist Church with Pastor James Colwell and Pastor Vernon Payne officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
