Glen G. Clefisch, 84, of Berryville, died at his home on July 13, 2007. He was born in Spencer, S.D. to the late John G. Clefisch and Juanita Masters.

Glen served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was awarded a Purple Heart.

On Feb. 24, 1946, he married Betty Chalkley, and to this union one son was born. After returning from the service, Glen continued his undergraduate education at South Dakota State University and went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University Veterinary School. After working several years at a veterinary clinic in Wisconsin, he moved to Berryville in 1982.

He will be remembered for his superior, diligent work as the Carroll County Veterans Service Officer for 16 years. He was a charter member of two Kiwanis Clubs, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Berryville and the American Legion.

Glen was an avid sports fan and loved watching or attending any and all sporting events whenever possible. He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting. He was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; one son, Gregory Clefisch of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and one sister, Wilma Webb, of Fayetteville.
