Daniel Dean Burket, 76, of Rudd, died July 19, 2007, at Carroll County Nursing and Rehab. He was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Cambrook, Pa., the son of George Burket and Viola (Weaver) Burket.

A retired oilworker, he was a 30-year resident of Carroll County, moving to Rudd with his late wife, Patsy Ann Burket, in 1978.

He is survived by two sons, Terry Lee Burket and Jimmy Dean Burket, both of Green Forest; three sisters, Betty Fought and Helen Walker, both of Sommerset, Pa., and Ruth Langly of Berlin, Pa.; an uncle, George Burket, of Marklan, Pa., four grandchildren; and a great-grandson, Zach Burket.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at Rudd Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Fancher officiating.
