VERNELL JANE ANDERSON, of Berryville, was born on Oct. 29, 1937, in Tontitown, to Virgil Clark and Mitilda Jane (Scruggs) Wilkinson. She died Sunday, July 22, 2007, in Berryville, at the age of 69.

Vernell was of the Baptist faith and was baptized on July 14, 1974. She was a school bus driver and a cook in the school cafeteria.

On Feb. 17, 1958, Vernell was united in marriage with Boyd Dewayne Anderson, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two daughters, Annette Jane Wiley and Joyce Faye Hoover; one son, Michael Dewayne Anderson, all of Berryville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Wilkinson of Walla Walla, Wash., Bobby Wilkinson of Springdale, Gene Wilkinson of Melton-Freewater, Ore.; and one sister, Sue King of Cassville, Mo.

Funeral Services were held on Thursday, July 26, 2007, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Brother Larry Montgomery officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
