VIRGINIA GINNY LEE HAMMONS, 87, a resident of Siloam Springs, died July 3, 2007, at her home. Born May 24, 1920, in Tulsa, Okla., she was the daughter of Millard Dewey Burgess and Laura L. Meek Burgess.

She married John Wesley Hammons in Metalton in January, 1939.

Ginny was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Siloam Springs for the last 16 years since moving from Berryville.

Survivors include her husband, John, of the home; three sons, David Hammons and his wife Kay of Berryville, Dewey Hammons and his wife Jean of Tulsa, Okla., and Stephen Hammons and his wife Keiko of Berryville; one daughter, Carolyn Larkin and her husband Clyde of Siloam Springs; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Millard Bud Burgess of Tulsa and Raymond Burgess of Tulsa; and one sister, Kathryn Hopper of Lawton, Okla.
