ROSELLA (ROSIE) SLAPE, 74, a resident of Alpena, died June 29, 2007, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, at the age of 74.

She was born Oct. 9. 1932, in Delmar, a daughter of James E. Warren and Eva L. (Binam) Warren. She was employed as a cook and custodian at Alpena Schools. She was also a homemaker, and a member of the Red Hat Club. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Otto Slape; three sisters, Oda Cisco, Eppa Sisco, Leona McNair; and one grandson, Michael Roberts.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Eddie and Linda Roberts of Green Forest; a sister, Halena McNair of Alpena; grandsons Greg Roberts and his wife Lisa of Green Forest and Tim Roberts of Green Forest; great-grandchildren Austin and Brittanie Rose-Marie Roberts of Green Forest; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Kenneth Booth officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery.
