He was a farmer, a Baptist, and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. He was a member of Hayes-Smith American Legion Post No. 137, in Huntsville.
He was preceded in death by one son, Rick Miller; an infant daughter; Carolyn Jean Miller; and one brother, Ray Miller.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Jean Long Miller of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Jean and J.L. Curtis of Green Forest; one brother, Kenneth Mack Miller of Lincoln; one sister, Eula Faye Thompson of Delaware, Okla.; two half-brothers, Buck Miller of Huntsville and Carson Miller of Dallas, Texas; one half-sister, Nelva Birchfield of Eureka Springs; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 6, at the Clifty Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Miller officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
