She was raised in Berryville and was a 1965 graduate of Berryville High School. She was a lifelong resident of the Reeds Spring area and a teacher in the Reeds Spring School District for more than 20 years. She adored her family and children at school, which she considered her own. She adopted numerous animals, including dogs and cats, which became family members. She served as treasurer of the Yocum Pond Cemetery for several years.
Survivors include her mother, Hazel Owens, of Berryville; her husband, Bud Quick, of Reeds Spring; one son, Ryan Quick of Reeds Spring; one daughter, Jennifer Quick, of Reeds Spring; one brother, Jimmy Owens and his wife, Barbara, of Berryville; one sister, Pam Webb and her husband, Ronnie, of Berry?ville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Reeds Spring High School with R.C. "Happy" Hopper officiating. Burial was in Yocum Pond Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City.
