Junior Golf Clinic ends with skills competitions

BERRYVILLE -- The Carroll County Country Club held its free annual Junior Golf Clinic on Monday's through the month of May.

The clinics culminated with a skills competition of putting, chipping, driving, and a two-hole tournament on Monday, May 21.

A total of 27 juniors ages sis to 16 experienced basic training of golf fundamentals and etiquette.

The Junior Golf committee would like to thank the Carroll County Country Club and its board, the many volunteers: Mark Roney and Bill Love at the clubhouse restaurant for the hamburgers and hot dogs.

Trophies were presented to all players, with awards as follows:

Putting champs- Mckayle Hussey, Trenton Bishop, Blake Lowell, Benjamin Bradley, Mekenna Hussey, and Molly Montez.

Chipping champs- Mary Kennedy Jackson, Dylon Whiteley, Anthony Writer, Tara Davis, Jody King, and Alec Jones.

Long drive champs- Mary Kennedy Jackson, Blake Lowell, Anthony Writer, and Tara Davis.

Stroke play champs- Blake Lowell, alec Jones, and Tara Davis.
