Robert Thomas Rogers

ROBERT THOMAS ROGERS, 74, of Hiwasse, died Friday, May 18, 2007, at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Stamps.

Mr. Rogers was a resident of northwest Arkansas for 45 years. He received an MBA from the University of Arkansas and was a retired U.S. Navy pilot. He was the former owner of Rogers Hardware and Lumber in Hiwasse.

Mr. Rogers married Johnnie Sue Banks on June 9, 1962, in Bentonville. She preceded him in death in 2002. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William P. Rogers of Little Rock.

Survivors include a son, Tony Rogers and his wife Amy of Holiday Island; a daughter Mary Rogers-Hensley of Hiwasse; a brother, Earl Rogers and his wife Lois of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Marilou Nelson of Texarkana; and two grandchildren, Adam and Alex Hensley.

Graveside funeral services were to be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Hiwasse with Bro. Gene Roberts officiating.

Services were under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette.
