Patty Jo (Davis) High

PATTY JO (DAVIS) HIGH, a resident of Oak Grove, was born Nov. 30, 1931, the daughter of Carl and Frances (Laptad) Flowers. She died Thursday, May 3, 2007, in Russellville at the age of 75.

Mrs. High was a teacher s aide at Green Forest Schools for 22 years and also worked at Green Forest Flowers. She was a member of the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was also a member of the Oak Grove City Council for 16 years.

On Dec. 16, 1996, she was united in marriage with Gary High, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by one son, Sam Davis and his wife Janice of Russellville; one step-son, John High and his wife Danita of Batesville; one daughter, Suzi and her husband Randy Rains of Farmington, Mo.; two step-daughters, Hilary and her husband Mike Fryer of Oak Grove, and Becky and her husband Lyle Palmer of Green Forest; two brothers, Jack Flowers and his wife Nellie of Petal, Miss., and Bob Flowers of Republic, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Bradley officiating. Interment followed at Hale Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Hale Cemetery Fund.
