Betty Lou Alvard
BETTY LOU ALVARD, of Berryville, was born June 21, 1939, in Temple, Texas, a daughter of Harvey Charles and Jessie Eula (Wilson) Smith. She died Thursday, May 3, 2007, in Berryville at the age of 67.
Mrs. Alvard was a homemaker and attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Berryville.
On May 7, 1992, she was united in marriage with Lee Alvard who survives her of the home. She is also survived by three sons, Samuel Ernst of Fayetteville, David Ernst of Berryville, and John Ernst of Durant, Okla.; two daughters, Rachel St. Clair of Antelope, Calif., and Chrystal Howard of Blue Eye, Mo.; two step-daughters, Geneva Scarrow of Eureka Springs, and Betty Anderson of Oak Grove; four step-sons, Albert Lee Alvard and Bill Alvard, both of Green Forest, Charlie Alvard and Ralph Alvard, both of Berryville; two brothers, Jimmy Smith of Temple, Texas, and Warner Smith of Blue Lake, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Daniel Ernst, and one grandson, David Ernst.
Graveside services were held Monday, May 7, 2007, at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Wait officiating. Interment was in the Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
