KIETHA BUSCHBOM, 100, of Green Forest, died Saturday, April 28, at Carroll County Nursing and Rehab Center in Berryville. She was born Jan. 13, 1907, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to the late George and Clara Halverson Bru.
Kietha married Bill Buschbom Sr. on Feb. 14, 1927, and to this union three children were born. She was a member of Green Forest United Methodist Church. In her younger years, she and her husband traveled with the circus and rodeo circuit where they enjoyed performing a liberty act with horses. In her later years Kietha was a caregiver for many family members. She was an avid gardener and was very devoted to her family.
Mrs. Buschbom is survived by her son, Jack Buschbom of Green Forest, and one daughter, Beverly Hurliman of Colorado Springs, Colo; one sister, Virginia McFarland of St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Buschbom Sr. who died in 1981; son Billy Buschbom Jr.; and six brothers and sisters.
Celebration of life services were held Tuesday, May 1, at Pickens Cemetery in Green Forest with Brother David Hanshaw officiating, followed with interment at Pickens Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest.
