ANNA LUE HUSSEY, a resident of Holiday Island, was born June 28, 1919, in Gould, Okala., a daughter of Samuel and Etta Ozella (Enyart) Galbraith. She died April 13, 2007, in Eureka Springs, at the age of 87.

Ms. Hussey did social work for the federal and state government. She was a member of the Faith Christian Family Church in Eureka Springs.

She is survived by one daughter, Zelpha Nell Long of Holiday Island; two granddaughters, DeLee Ann Holbert of Fayetteville, and Tracy LuDene Matthews of Holiday Island; one grandson, Lee Roy Weems III of Jay, Okla., one sister, Zelpha Peterson of California; four nieces, including Sheila Thurman of Eureka Springs, and Cindy Gates of California; five nephews, including Terry Peterson of California; four great-grandsons; and a host of other family and friends.

On Feb. 14, 1942, she was united in marriage with Harry Tilman Hussey, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents.

Visitation was Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the Nelson s Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs, under the direction on Nelson Funeral Service Inc. A memorial service was held on Monday, April 16, 2007, at Faith Christian Family Church in Eureka Springs, with Rev. Gary Hayhurst officiating.
