Youth art contest to coincide with Day of Prayer
EUREKA SPRINGS -- Kerusso Christian Outlet and Eureka Springs Ministerial Association will sponsor the Second Annual Youth Art Contest for the 2007 National Day of Prayer.
All children ages 6 to 12 years are encouraged to participate. The rules are simple, prizes are great and entry forms are available at Kerusso Christian Outlet.
Arvest Bank, Bank of Eureka Springs, Community First and First National Bank of Berryville have donated four $100 savings bonds which will be given to two winners in each age group, 6-8 and 9-12 years.
Artwork must be clearly signed and dated by the artist, the artist's original piece executed in any media (watercolor, ink, acrylic colored pencils, crayon, mixed media, etc.), and must be on poster board, size 11 by 14 inches.
All entries must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, at Kerusso Christian Outlet 105 Passion Play Rd., Eureka Springs, telephone (479) 253-2603. Each piece will be judged on best depiction of the theme, "America, Unite in Prayer," from II Chronicles 7:14, "If thy peopleŠ.will humble themselves and pray." Winners will be notified on Friday, April 27.
All artwork will be on display at the National Day of Prayer Breakfast Thursday May 3, at 7 a.m. at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center in Eureka Springs, and at the evening Gospelfest at 5 p.m. at the Carroll County Fairgrounds in Berryville.
The Eureka Springs Ministerial Association and Kerusso encourages area youth to put forth their best expression of artistic talent for the poster contest.
