Week of Feb. 19

Feb. 19

12:42 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Locust Heights address to investigate a report of an unwanted subject. Police checked, but there was no contact with the subject.

2:16 a.m. - Police checked on subjects parked at the school and advised them to move along.

9:45 a.m. - Police were dispatched to KFC in regards to a possible counterfeit bill. A report was filed.

12:10 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Rice Street location because two dogs were tangled in a garden hose. The owner untangled them and all was okay.

12:25 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Williams Tractor to take a vandalism report.

4:15 p.m. - Police went to a Pleasant Street address to recover stolen property.

8:53 p.m. - Police provided a motorist assist at the KFC parking lot.

11:09 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a North Springfield Street location to investigate a report of possible gunfire. Police checked and decided it was probably backfire from passing vehicles.

Feb. 20

6:33 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Bunch Street address to investigate a report of intruders in a vacant house. No one was there.

10:05 a.m. - Police were dispatched to the police department to file a theft of property report.

12:35 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Arvest Bank to work a traffic accident.

1:35 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the police department to file a theft of junk motor report.

2:43 p.m. - Police provided a funeral escort and traffic control.

3:08 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the police department to file a report on a shattered rear windshield incident.

4:30 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the library to investigate a report of a child locked in truck. It was gone when police arrived two minutes later.

4:40 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Eureka Street address to investigate possible vandalism to a vehicle. No report was required.

5:03 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the skate park to investigate a report of kids smoking dope. They were gone when police arrived two minutes later.

6:31 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the intersection of Freeman and Douglas streets to investigate a report of a pit bull running free. Police said the dog was back in its own yard.

8:21 p.m. - Police went to LaBarge to provide extra patrol after there had been a theft of gas from vehicles.

Feb. 21

5:17 a.m. - Police were dispatched to Williams Tractor to investigate an alarm call. All was okay.

6:55 a.m. - Police were dispatched to an area near the rodeo grounds to investigate a report of cows in the road. None were found.

10:28 a.m. - Police were dispatched to the police department to speak to a subject complaining about a landlord. Police advised it was a civil matter.

2:48 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the A.L. Carter ballfield to provide a motorist assist.

3:30 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart to investigate a report of a man huffing gas. Police observed the subject and found no problems.

7:08 p.m. - Police were dispatched to McDonalds restaurant to investigate a report of road rage. Police reported the vehicle departed toward Eureka Springs and advised authorities there.

7:32 p.m. - Police initiated a traffic stop for no vehicle license that led to the arrest of a passenger on a Washington County warrant.

7:47 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart and Catos to investigate a report of an intoxicated man, who was arrested for public intoxication.

Feb. 22

1:56 a.m. - Police initiated a traffic stop on vehicles, and checked pedestrian suspicious activity at the junction of U.S. Hwy. 62 Spur and Freeman Switch Road and identified all involved.

8:30 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Campbell Street address because of a harassing telephone call. Police advised the subject to seek legal advice.

10:30 a.m. - Police were dispatched to the intersection of St. George and Dawn streets to work a traffic accident.

11:35 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Freeman Avenue address to assist with a medical emergency call.

4:40 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the high school band building to investigate a report of three youths urinating on the wall. Police checked but couldn t find anyone.

6:34 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the intersection of Church and Shaver streets to check on a controlled burn. All was okay.

7:59 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Charles Street address to provide a welfare check. All was okay.

Feb. 23

12:59 a.m. - Police checked on a vehicle that ran into a railing at the Price Cutter parking lot and arrested a male adult for DWI 4.

11:28 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Campbell Street address to investigate a domestic disturbance complaint. It was verbal only.

12:30 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the Price Cutter parking lot to provide a motorist assist.

3:10 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Gibson Street address to investigate a report of an attic door open in the carport. Police checked, all appeared to be okay.

7:15 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Hailey Road location to investigate a report of an intoxicated person who had walked out of the hospital. Police arrested a male for public intoxication.

7:41 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the White Oak station to investigate a report of unattended children in a vehicle. Police spoke with the parent about the situation.

7:46 p.m. - Police were dispatched to an Edwards Street address because of an abandoned bike. It possibly belonged to a neighbor.

7:56 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Shaver Street address to investigate a loud music complaint. The music was turned down upon request.

8:29 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Country Junction to investigate a possible domestic disturbance. The parties were separated.

8:56 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Price Cutter to check on a subject who was possibly intoxicated. The subject was transported to the Shamrock Motel.

9:07 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Champion Hills address to investigate a 911 hang-up call from what was discovered to be an unconscious female. Police assisted until EMTs arrived.

9:24 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Freeman Switch Road location to investigate a report of a possible prowler in the area. Police checked and all appeared to be okay.

Feb. 24

6:16 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a North Main Street location to investigate a reported red glow area of the square. Police determined that the glow was from a sign and all was okay.

8:36 a.m. - Police were dispatched to Brashears to investigate an alarm call. Police checked, all was okay.

3:18 p.m. - Police were dispatched to the sheriff s office to investigate a stolen checks complaint. The theft occurred in the county and the case turned over to county authorities.

3:55 p.m. - Police were dispatched to McCloud Street to investigate a report of people fighting in the street. No one was around.

4:10 p.m. - Police were dispatched to williams Tractor to investigate an alarm call. Police checked, all appeared to be okay.

7:32 p.m. - Police were dispatched to a Douglas Street address to work a one vehicle traffic accident. Police arrested the motorist for DWI and the passenger for warrants.

Feb. 25

9:48 a.m. - Police were dispatched to a Charles Street address because a subject was upset and wanted to speak to an officer.
