He was a retired Tyson Food employee and a farmer for most of his life. He attended the Green Forest Church of Christ.
On October 4, 1946, he was united in marriage with Reba Jean (Minick) Humbard who preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis and her husband Charles Benfield of Salisbury, N.C. and Jeannie and her husband Thomas Ramsey of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth and her husband Glenn Thomas of Lyman, S.C., and Mamie Rebecca and her husband Chad Thompson of Woodruff, S.C.; four great grandchildren, Shyenne, Xavier, and Isis Thompson and William Bryce Thomas; three sisters, Betty Sue Patton of Miami, Okla.; Virginia Braswell of Noel, Mo., and Walsie Aday of Miami, Okla., and Rebecca Hill, his special friend. His brother Thurman Humbard preceded him in death.
Arnold J. served in the Navy during WWII and was a lifetime member of the Jordan-Davis American Legion Post # 162.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at the Hale Cemetery Chapel with Mr. Ronald Adams officiating.
