CARROLL RALPH ERWIN, a resident of Alpena, was born May 9, 1919, in Denver, Ark., a son of Adry Ralph and Roxie Lee (Campbell) Erwin. He died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in Harrison at the age of 87.

Carroll was a cattle farmer. He served a a deacon at the First Assembly of God Church in Alpena.

On Sept. 5, 1942, he was united in marriage with Lula June Jones, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one daughter, Carolyn Lou of Alpena; one brother, Joe Erwin and his wife June of Green Forest; one sister, Bernita Inman of Green Forest; one sister-in-law, Lois Erwin of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon Jean Erwin; one brother, Eugene Chester Erwin; and one brother-in-law, Jack Inman.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Nelson s Green Forest Chapel with Rev. Bill Anderson officiating. Interment was in Denver Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
