Mrs. Masters was an elementary school librarian. She also worked at the library at the University of Arkansas and Mercer University in Atlanta, Ga. She graduated from the University of Arkansas Department of Home Economics. She was also a national winner of Home Economics 4-H. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Eureka Springs.
On June 4, 1950, she was united in marriage with Gene Masters, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two sons, David Masters of Hull, Ga., and Gene P. Masters of Madison, Wisc.; two daughters, Anne Shepherd of Sugar Hill, Ga., and Karen Masters of Eureka Springs; one sister, Carolyn Ward of Rogers; and three grandchildren, Wes Shepherd, Jack Masters and Patrick Masters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Memorial funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church in Eureka Springs with Stan Adams officiating. Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
