PATRICIA INEZ ALLEN, a resident of Hereford, Texas, formerly of Eureka Springs, was born Dec. 14, 1934, in Eureka Springs, a daughter of Grant and Cleo (Allen) Kelley. She died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, in Hereford at the age of 71.

Pat was an assistant chemist for Holly Sugar Co. in Hereford. She was of the Baptist faith.

On Jan. 27, 1953, she was united in marriage with Dean Allen, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by her son, Dean Allen, Jr. of Hereford, Texas; a daughter, Deanne Bruegel of Amarillo, Texas; three brothers, Richard Kelley of Eureka Springs, Rex Kelley of Midwest City, Okla., and Don Kelley of Springdale; two grandchildren, Breanna Bruegel and Christopher Bruegel both of Amarillo, Texas; one great-grandchild, Faith Emily Fletcher of Amarillo, Texas; an uncle, Jim Allen of Clifty; many other relatives; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Cleo Kelley; and one brother, Wendell Kelley.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, with Rev. Tim Garrison officiating. Interment was in the McGuire Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
