Charley A. Minick
CHARLEY A. MINICK, a resident of Berryville, was born July 4, 1912, in Oak Grove, a son of George I. and Nora K. (Kiper) Minick. He died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, in Berryville at the age of 94.
Charley was a fruit cannery mechanic. He was a member of the Antioch Church of God of the Apostolic faith.
He is survived by four daughters, Dixie Stewart of Berryville, Doris Padgett of Fort Worth, Texas, Dora Lee Ferguson and Lula Gott, both of Berryville; a son and daughter- in-law, Carl and Amanda Minick of Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, Bob Minick of San Bernardino, Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn Gray of Ramona, Okla., and Ella Gray of Tulsa, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 31 great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
On Oct. 24, 1931, he was united in marriage with Ollie B. (Williams) Minick, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters; three grandchildren; and two sons in law.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carl Minick and Rev. Dale Meredith officiating. Interment was in the Hale Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons or the Antioch Church Building Fund.
