ROGERS -- Lady Tiger coach Kayla Madewell believes you get better if you play better people, which is why she took her senior basketball team to Rogers to take on the Class 7A Lady Mounties on Monday.

Green Forest, Class 3A, took a 59-23 loss as Rogers put the pressure on and forced turnovers that turned into easy baskets for the Lady Mounties.

Green Forest was in the game the first quarter, but a Rogers run gave them a 14 point halftime lead.

Quarter Scores

8-9, 15-29, 19-43, 23-59

"They had a good guard and forward and we didn't close out on them. They just faked and went around. They manned us on defense and we didn't execute on offense.

"We had 29 turnovers versus four steals and only played about two-and-a-half quarters. We have to learn to fight through that," Madewell said.

Scoring- GF- 6's- Kamarra Hoppe, KaseyBarinsky; Courtney Ruff- 4; Amelia Villines- 3; 2's- Kimberlee Watson, Katie Heads. ROG- Gibbons- 23; Feblig- 20.
