CARL WAYNE CARMICAL, a resident of Bentonville, was born May 5, 1936, in Baxter, Mo., a son of Zillie (Bill) and Avil Augusta (Creekmore) Carmical. He died on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, in Bentonville at the age of 70.

Mr. Carmical did various types of construction and was a custodian for Bentonville School District for 15 years. He attended the First Baptist Church in Bentonville. He loved gardening, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

On July 5, 1961, he was united in marriage with Gerry (Schmidt) Carmical, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Tony Webb of Rogers, and Judy and Craig Pierce of Bentonville; his sister, Bonnie Standlee of Berryville; a brother, Jim Carmical of Greenfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Avil Carmical; two sons, Todd Carmical and Tommy Carmical; and three brothers, Billy Carmical, Bob Carmical, and Dean Carmical.

Funeral services were to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at the Charles M Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Rev. Freddy Blevins officiating. Interment was to follow in the Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
