MRS. NAOMI ELIZABETH SPURLOCK, 92, of Huntsville, died Sept. 2, 2006, at Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 26, 1913, at Kingston, the daughter of Carl H. and Mintie Belle Smith Frederick.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church and active in the Madison County Senior Activity Center. She was the widow of the Rev. James Floyd Spurlock, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Allen Frederick, two sisters, Jessie Yarbrough and Connie Wall, and by one granddaughter, Kim Burris.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Shirley Spurlock of Aurora, and Jerry and Pat Spurlock of Green Forest; one daughter and son-in-law, Joetta and Homer Copeland of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Reverends Larry Montgomery, Alvin Reynolds and Walter Vanderlip officiating.

Interment was in the Lower Campground cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
