GENEVIEVE SCOTT, a resident of Lampe, Mo., was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Eureka, Kan., a daughter of Charlie and Mildred (Newman) Clevenger. She died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, in Harrison, at the age of 79.
Mrs. Scott was a seamstress who loved to make quilts. She was a member of the Highview Assembly of God Church in Lampe, where she taught Sunday School for several years.
On Sept. 9, 1942, she was united in marriage with Walter W. Scott, who survives her of the home. She is also survived by her son and daughter in law, Jerry W. and Karen Scott, of Fair Grove, Mo.; two daughters, Judy and her husband, Dr. Ted Caddell, of Kimberling City, Mo., and Joyce Carmical, of Lampe; two sisters, Anna Lea Tharp of Blue Eye, Mo., and Helen White, of Berryville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mildred Clevenger; one brother; one sister; and a great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at the Highview Assembly of God Church in Lampe, with Rev. Ron Ely and Rev. Keith Butler officiating.
