July 31

10:05 a.m. -- Officer transported a female adult prisoner from the adult probation and parole office to jail.

2:34 p.m. -- Police provided escort and traffic control for Nelson's Funeral Home.

4:10 p.m. -- Police responded to a two vehicle traffic accident on Douglas Street and College Avenue. A report was taken and a driver cited for no proof of insurance.

4:30 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Dawn Street to take a report on a wallet stolen from a vehicle.

6:30 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Edwards Street to document a dispute that occurred earlier.

8:45 p.m. -- Officer took a report on harassing telephone calls at the nursing home.

10:27 p.m. -- Officer initiated a check on two females engaging in suspicious activity on Simpson Street. The females were sent home.

Aug. 1

12:33 a.m. -- Officer responded to a report of fireworks thrown at a house on Douglas Street. A report was taken.

6:10 a.m. -- A traffic stop for expired license at Car Mart led to the driver arrested on four warrants and driving on a suspended license.

8:15 a.m. -- Police took a report on criminal mischief.

10:44 a.m. -- Officer responded to a report of a man down in a yard on Walnut Street. The subject had family taking care of him.

1:40 p.m. -- Police responded to an 18-wheeler roll-over on U.S. Hwy. 62 and Hailey Road. A report was taken.

4:05 p.m. -- Police responded to a minor traffic accident in the area of Carroll County Court House. A report was taken.

4:45 p.m. -- Police responded to a report of a reckless driver in Wal-Mart parking lot. Unable to locate subject.

5:24 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to a traffic accident and hit and run at Garner's Drive-In parking lot. A report was taken.

5:40 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to East Church Street on a report of unlawful burning. Owner was contacted and agreed to put fire out.

6:30 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of an intoxicated subject at Hong Kong Inn. A female subject was arrested for public intoxication.

9:43 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of kids discharging BB guns on High Street. Officer will contact kids to discuss matter.

Aug. 2

1:24 a.m. -- Officer initiated contact with a minor on Public Square concerning curfew violation. Officer sent subject home.

4:30 a.m. -- Police responded to a report of an unruly, intoxicated and irrational male at Exxon. Subject left with mother to Golden, Mo.

6:31 a.m. -- Officer responded to a report of an elderly man lost on Jefferson Avenue and Elm Street. Subject was transported home.

7:08 a.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Phillips Street on a report of a horse loose in yard. The horse was bridled and returned to enclosure.

7:46 a.m. -- An officer was dispatched to the emergency medical technician station to take a report on harassing communications.

10:16 a.m. -- Officer recovered stolen items from a shoplifter on Public Square. Items were identified.

12:29 p.m. -- Police responded to a 911 hang-up at Shamrock Motel. All was okay.

2:43 p.m. -- Police provided escort and traffic control for a funeral procession from First Assembly of God to Ark. Hwy. 21 South.

5:51 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart parking lot on a report of a possible stolen truck. Truck was repossessed.

11:03 p.m. -- Police responded to a domestic disturbance on County Road 306 and assisted Carroll County Sheriff's Office deputy.

11:26 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Sunrise Motel area on a report of a vehicle opened by unknown male. Extra patrol to be provided.

Aug. 3

9:26 a.m. -- Police responded to a report of a possible stolen dog on Douglas Street. No crime and dog was okay.

9:56 a.m. -- Officer responded to a loud music complaint on Public Square. Music was turned down upon request.

10:58 a.m. -- Police took information on a battery complaint. Follow-up to be completed.

1:00 p.m. -- Officer initiated a follow-up on a shoplifting case at Yerky Hole Store. Officer returned stolen/recovered merchandise.

1:30 p.m. -- Officer met with the mother of a four-year-old in reference to the importance of seat belts.

1:37 p.m. -- Police responded to a complaint of a subject bothering another on Phillips Street. Police spoke to subjects involved.

2:28 p.m. -- Police responded to a gas drive-off at Murphys USA. Subject came back and paid for gas.

3:21 p.m. -- A traffic stop behind Price Cutter led to a subject arrested on a warrant.

4:13 p.m. -- Officer took a report on a late traffic accident which occurred on Hwy. 62 on Aug. 2.

6:12 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of kids fighting on High Street. Officer mediated and counseled kids.

11:36 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Exxon on a report of kids hanging around. Kids were advised to leave and one subject arrested on warrant.

Aug. 4

3:26 a.m. -- Police responded to a report of a possible prowler on Bunch Street. No one found.

9:19 a.m. -- Officer found a child in the road on Hwy. 21 North. Officer assisted Carroll County Sheriff's Office deputy.

10:13 a.m. -- Officer initiated warrant service on Douglas Street. A female adult was arrested on warrant.

11:20 a.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Outrageous Dressin' to take a report on shoplifting.

2:00 p.m. -- Police responded to a domestic disturbance on South Springfield Street. One subject arrested.

5:00 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to This N That to take a report on theft.

6:50 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of a female begging for gas at Wal-Mart. Subject headed west.

10:17 p.m. -- Police responded to a report of a raccoon on a porch on Alma Avenue. Raccoon left porch.

Aug. 5

9:15 a.m. -- Officer responded to a report of a subject burning leaves on St. George Street. Subject extinguished fire.

9:30 a.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart on a report of found property/money bag. Property was returned to owner.

10:18 a.m. -- Police responded to a report of an unattended death at Magnolia Village Apartments. A report was taken.

1:55 p.m. -- Police responded to a possible car fire at Wal-Mart. Vehicle was not on fire.

5:07 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Phillips Street to take a report on harassing communications.

7:05 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to St. Johns -- Berryville emergency room to take a dog bite report.

7:41 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Douglas Street to take a stolen bike report.

11:51 p.m. -- Police responded to a report of a man found beat-up in the revenue office parking lot. Subject was transported to the hospital.

Aug. 6

3:53 p.m. -- A traffic stop at Exxon led to a male adult arrested on a Carroll County Sheriff's Office warrant.

7:18 p.m. -- Police responded to a possible domestic disturbance at Locust Heights Apartments. Officer spoke with female subject.

8:15 p.m. -- Officer responded to a domestic battery complaint at Locust Heights Apartments. A male adult was arrested.

8:40 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Country Court Mobile Home Park concerning person inquiring about a domestic problem. A male adult was arrest for domestic battery.

11:40 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of juveniles walking in the street on Freeman Avenue and Pritchard Street. Subjects were gone from area.
