He was born July 15, 1942, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Robert Collins and Wilma Margurite Sherode Steinberg.
He was a self-employed artist and painter. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a Methodist.
He is survived by three daughters, Roanna McDaniel of Eureka Springs, Jeri Freshwater of Fayetteville, and Karla Davis of Leavenworth, Kan.; three brothers, Robert C. Steinberg, Jr. of Rochester, Wash., Richard Steinberg of Tulsa and Ron Steinberg of Tulsa; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was to be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial was to be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
