Monday, July 31, 2006

BLUE EYE, Mo. -- Freedom Seekers, a ministry directed at alcohol, drug and other addictions, is working to remodel a building on Mo. Hwys. 86 and JJ, for use as a food and clothing outlet, drop-off center, support group meeting place, offices and individual counseling.

Freedom Seekers spokesman Rob Hutchins invites area residents to take the opportunity to assist the outreach at a Freedom Rally being planned for Aug. 5, 6 to 10 p.m.

"Be a part of winning this battle that is destroying literally thousands of people," Hutchins said. "We need your help and support to make this happen. Together we can and will make a difference."

He stated that 90 percent of the people who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol who do not get help will die prematurely.

The rally will feature live music by Gary Griffin, Southern Drawl and Open Fire, and will include special speakers, testimonies, a drawing, and free barbecue.

Tickets for the drawing can be purchased at JJ Junction and Just Kid'n Resale.
