Trevor Coons, 16, of Cassville passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at St. John's Regional Media Center in Springfield as the result of an auto accident on June 15. Trevor was born on March 5, 1990, in Kansas City, Kan. He was an honor student at Southwest High School in Washburn, Mo., where he would have been a junior this fall. He was a member of Emmanual Baptist Church in Cassville.

Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Cindy Coons of Cassville and Marty and Mark Thomas of Cassville, one step-brother Cotton Thomas and one step-sister Samantha Thomas of the home, paternal grandparents B.C. and Nez Coons of Holiday Island, AR, maternal grandparents Ernie and Gwen Enfield of Golden, MO and maternal great grandmother, Fern Leach of Cassville.

Funeral services were held July 15, 2006, at the Southwest High School Gymnasium in Washburn with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
