DORIS JUNE UNDERWOOD, 68, of Berryville, died July 2, 2006, at her home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1937, at Bonham, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Otha

Walls Underwood.

She had retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after more than 30

years of service. She was a Baptist, a member of the Communications Workers

of Arkansas and Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Allen Underwood.

Survivors include Nathan and Carolyn Suit of the home; three sisters, Willie

Smith and Wanda Smith, both of Mesquite, Texas, and Barbara Farris of Howe,

Texas; and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at the Carson Cemetery at Ecter,

Texas, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home of Bonham. Local

arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of

Huntsville.
