James (Jimmy) Dale Smith

JAMES (JIMMY) DALE SMITH, a resident of Berryville, was born April 6, 1944, in Berryville, a son of James Andrew "Andy" and Cleva Susan (Smith) Smith. He died Saturday, June 24, 2006, in Springdale, at the age of 62.

Mr. Smith professed his faith in Christ and was baptized in 1984. He was a Mason and a member of Ashley Lodge #66. He was a cattle and poultry farmer.

On May 23, 1964, he was united in marriage with Lovella Jean (Gibson) Smith, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Natalie and husband Kevin K. Smith of Berryville, and Nanette and husband Steve Nance of Rogers; his mother, Cleva Smith of Berryville; three brothers, Sammy and wife Darlene Smith of Berryville, Ralph and wife Marian Smith of Berryville and David and wife Leigh Smith of Berryville; one sister, Larania Reagan of Nixa, Mo.; one granddaughter, Jeanessa Yvonne Smith of Berryville; one grandson; one step-grandson; several nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Smith.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at the Nelson Chapel in Berryville with Pastor Gary Hayhurst and Rev. David Keith officiating. Interment followed in the Berryville Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Historical Society.
