George Bilyeu served with the United States Army in California and Korea from 1950 to 1955. He retired from the Armco Steel Co. in Kansas City, Mo., where he was employed for 30 years. He was currently working for Lowe's in Branson, Mo. George was of the Baptist faith.
He was the husband of Elzie Marie (Braswell) Bilyeu, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his son, Clifford Bilyeu; a grandson, Stephen Bilyeu; his granddaughter, Wendy Bilyeu; his brother, Arlis Bilyeu; sister, Maxine Fancher; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Shird and Ella Bilyeu; four brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the Blue Eye First Baptist Church with Pastor Kenny Robinette and Rev. Freddy Blevins officiating.
