Delbert William Lippe
DELBERT WILLIAM LIPPE was born on Nov. 11, 1931, to Frank and Virgie Rollins Lippe and died on April 13, 2006, in his home at Blue Eye, Mo. at the age of 74.
He died of complications from a sudden illness.
Delbert's wife, Juanita, died on Feb. 26, 2006. They would have celebrated their 53 years of marriage on June 14, 2006.
Preceding Delbert in death were his wife; his parents; step-mother Ada Lippe; a brother, Sonny Lippe; a sister, Alberta Journagan; an infant granddaughter; and a grandson-in-law.
Surviving are his three children, Janet Phillips and her husband Eugene, David Lippe and wife Carol, and Kevin Lippe and wife Charlene, all of Blue Eye, Mo.; three brothers, Joe Lippe of Wyandotte, Okla., Gary Lippe and Orville Lippe, both of Omaha, Ark.; three sisters, Wanda Bowman of Ridgedale, Mo., Katherine Seabaugh of California, and Lorene Roberts of Omaha, Ark.; and 11 grandchildren.
Delbert ran his own excavating business for many years. He later worked and retired from the Stone County Road Department, where he was forman. Delbert raised race horses, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheeler with his dogs alongside. Delbert spent his springs and summers working in the hay fields and tending to his garden, spending an equal amount of time handing out all his vegetables to friends and neighbors.
Graveside services were to be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the Goodall Cemetery at the end of JJ Highway in Blue Eye, Mo. Rev. Raymond Lasseter was to officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.
A memorial fund has been set up in his name at the Metropolitan Bank of Kimberling City in lieu of flowers.
