DEE LOVETT, a resident of Berryville, was born December 12, 1906, in Cisco, Ark., a son of Garfield and Lillie (Minick) Lovett. He died Saturday, March 18, 2006, in Berryville at the age of 99.

Mr. Lovett was a farmer. He was a member of Ashley Masonic Lodge #66 in Berryville.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Marcia Lovett of Berryville; two sisters, Ruby Stewart and Virginia Buller both of California; one grandson, Roy and his wife, Shena Lovett of Berryville; two great-grandsons, Daniel Lee Lovett and Austin Dee Lovett both of Berryville; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

On April 29, 1932, he was united in marriage with Velma Ruth (Rolfe) who preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 1983. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Lillie Lovett; one brother; and three sisters.

Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at the Hale Cemetery in Oak Grove, with Rev. Wayne Writer officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Hale Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
