JULIA ANN TAYLOR, a resident of Hanford, Calif., was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Compton, Ark., a daughter of Martin Rich and Myrtle Ellen (Jackson) Sims. She died Friday, March 17, 2006 in Hanford at the age of 90.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Madelein Sims; four grandchildren, Michael Sims, Diana Sims, Glen Sims and Jamie Sims all of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one brother-in-law, Wesley Campbell; one step-daughter, Mable Smith of California, one step-son, Kurt Taylor, of California; 11 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; four nieces, Sammie Booth of Berryville; Virginia Anderson of Springdale, Doris Barnard of Springdale and Margie Eagle of Berryville; two nephews, Jessie Sims of Harrison and James Sims of Jay, Okla. and two very special friends, Sherrie Saldana and Mike Garrett.

She was united in marriage with W.L. Taylor, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Delbert Sims; one great-grandson, one sister, Ellen Campbell and three brothers, Lawrence Sims, Sam Sims and Roy Sims.

Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Berryville Cemetery with Rev. Jim Sisco officiating. Interment followed in the Berryville Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
