March 13

8:25 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to meet a person at the Exxon Station.

10:40 p.m. -- Police investigated a flashing strobe light on a bus at the bus barn.

11:05 p.m. -- Police advised bus barn manager and reported everything okay.

March 14

4:55 p.m. -- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on South Arch and East Main Streets.

11:50 p.m. -- Police assisted county officers with a possible prowler on Ark. Hwy. 311 North.

March 15

6:45 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence on Phillips Street.

7:00 p.m. -- Police arrested a subject and transported the prisoner to jail.

8:05 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to call a Spanish interpreter.

8:25 p.m. -- Police took a stolen vehicle report at the police department.

11:35 p.m. -- Police assisted a county officer with a suspect vehicle in Alpena.

11:45 p.m. -- Police reported suspect vehicle headed towards Harrison.

9:31 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to the Brew and Que to take a theft report. Report was unfounded.

4:15 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to assist the Newton County Sheriff's Office in reference to a vehicle theft.

5:15 p.m. -- Police delivered a message to a resident on Phillips Street.

6:40 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic accident at Tyson's.

6:41 p.m. -- Police responded to a Estates Drive residence in reference to 911 hang up calls.

6:50 p.m. -- Police followed-up at Tyson's.

March 18

5:14 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to an Estates Drive residence in reference to 911 hang up calls.

6:45 p.m. -- Police followed-up at an Estates Drive residence.

7:50 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to a take a traffic accident report at the Exxon Station.

7:50 p.m. -- Police responded to a vehicle/dog accident. Subject was reportedly traveling north on Springfield Avenue when a dog ran out in front of the vehicle.

March 19

9:30 a.m. -- Police reported that animal control officer could not recognize the dog involved in the accident.

12:25 p.m. -- Police assisted a motorist at Joe's Texaco.

3:35 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to assist a subject who was locked out of their personal property.

7:40 p.m. -- Police responded to a suspect vehicle at the Family Dollar. Police reported that subject left.

8:50 p.m. -- Police were dispatched to a medical emergency on Cherry Street. Police reported everything okay.

5:45 p.m. March 14 -- The GFFD responded to CR 613 in response to a report of chicken litter on fire.

8:08 a.m. March 16 -- The GFFD responded to a car fire on U.S. Hwy. 62 East.

Oak Grove Fire Department

7:50 p.m. March 17 -- The Oak Grove Fire Department responded to a controlled burn at a residence on Ark. Hwy. 21 North.

11:16 a.m. March 15 -- The SCCFD responded to a report of a grass fire on Ark. Hwy. 21 South by Crystal Mountain.

10:45 p.m. March 17 -- The SCCFD responded to a report of a brush fire on CR 7280. Forestry was requested.
