Charles (Chuck) R. Miner
CHARLES (CHUCK) R. MINER, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born July 24, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles E. and Mae Farrell Miner. He died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in Eureka Springs, at the age of 87.
Chuck was formerly vice-president/creative director at Russell T. Gray in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Rogers. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force during World War II, in the 90th Fighter Squadron-China-Burma-India theater.
On Jan. 26, 1992, he was united in marriage with Nell Cameron White Miner who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Janice Miner Holden of Louisville, Texas, and Gail Kerrigan of Chicago, Ill.; one son, Robert Miner of Albuquerque, N.M.; three step-children, Debra K. White of Harrison, Richard P. White of Bella Vista, and Terry J. White of Berryville; five grandchildren, Christopher, Conor, Ricky, Nicole, and Tommy; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae Miner; his first wife, Arlyn Miner; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the Nelson Chapel in Berryville. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2006, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel.
