JAMES WILLARD YOUNGBLOOD, a resident of Green Forest, was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Oak Grove, a son of Homer and Lutie Mae (Johnson) Youngblood. He died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, in Fayetteville, at the age of 82.

Until his retirement Mr. Youngblood was a dairy farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Green Forest.

On May 2, 1942, he was united in marriage with Willie R. (Dixon) Youngblood, who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Wayne and his wife Louise Youngblood of Green Forest; four grandsons, Kevin Youngblood of Berryville, Keith and his wife Danetta Youngblood of Berryville, Scott and his wife Lisa Youngblood of Berryville and Jason Youngblood of Omaha, one granddaughter, Kari Youngblood of Green Forest; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, J.C. and his wife Wanda Youngblood of Osage; two sisters, Loeta and her husband, Arnold Joe Chaney of Green Forest and Juanita and her husband Dean Rand of Seattle, Wash.; several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Carroll Youngblood and one brother, Billy Youngblood.

Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at the Yocum Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Emmons officiating. Interment followed in the Yocum Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
