Jon Kenton Swink
JON KENTON SWINK, a resident of Berryville, was born Feb. 15, 1948, in Richmond, Ind., a son of Harold Kenneth and Helen Florence (Blue) Swink. He died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in Berryville at the age of 57.
Jon was an Automotive Service Excellence Certified master auto mechanic. He owned Accurate Automotive in Berryville for 10 years and previously taught the auto mechanic class at Twin Lakes. He enjoyed antique cars and remodeling work. Jon was a former city councilman in Berryville and a member of the Berryville Baptist Church.
On June 17, 1967, he was united in marriage with Linda (Walter) Swink, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by three daughters, Cheryl Turner and her husband, Kevin of Berryville, Tina Schuh of Harrison, and Lisa Parsons and her husband, Donnie of Bella Vista; his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Tamboli of Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Ashlynne Turner, Spencer Schuh, Trevor Schuh, Annie Schuh, Kadie Schuh, Audrey Brodie and Kenton Parsons; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Swink; and his brother, Charles Swink.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Bro. Marvin Peterson and Bro. Marvin Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
