David "Dave" Clemence

david "dave" clemence, 62, of Harrison, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, in Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

He was born on June 30, 1943, to Roy Lee and Marjorie (Dixon) Clemence in San Mateo, Calif.

He was a Vietnam veteran, and was owner/operator of Dave's Radio Electronics, which he established in 1972. He was a member of the North Arkansas Amateur Radio Society, the Bellefonte Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Bellefonte City Council. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Mae (Martin) Clemence, of the home; sons David Roy Clemence II of St. James, Mo., and Scott Clemence and his wife, Dawn, of Fayetteville; daughter Ginger Lea and her husband John Ryan McBee of Harrison, a sister, Linda Graves, of Holiday Island; a brother, Jack W. Smith and his wife, Jenny, of Hot Springs; and five grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Shannon O'Dell officiating. Burial was in the Denver Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.chrisesonfuneralhome.com.
