Wanda Jones

WANDA JONES, 66, of Oak Grove, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. Wanda was born at Oasis, Mo., on Jan. 4, 1939, to Roy Randolph and the late Della Swofford.

Wanda was a certified dietary manager and was employed at St. John's Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Berryville, where she served in the cafeteria for the Wednesday after-school student program as long as she was able.

On May 8, 1958, Wanda married S.J. "Sam" Jones, and to this union four children were born. She is survived by her husband, of the home; one daughter, Debbie Kelley and husband James of Harrison; one son, Jeff and wife Kay of Oak Grove; her father, Roy Randolph of Berryville; two sisters, June Richey of Bearden, Shirley Arndt and daughter Natasha Phillips of Berryville; one brother, Don Randolph of Berryville; six grandchildren, Terrell Kelley, LeAnna Kelley, Jordan Jones, Tyler Carpenter, Candice Carpenter and Kristina Carpenter.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Della Swofford Randolph; twin sons, Terry and Jerry Jones, and one sister, Estilee Scroggs.

Celebration of life was held Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at First Assembly of God Church in Berryville with Rev. Keith Butler officiating. Interment was in Hale Cemetery near Oak Grove by Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest.
